We've seen that Aggregate Industries ignored assurances it gave in 2010 to reduce the visual impact of stockpiles on Woodbury Common. Now, Cambridgeshire County Council is being forced to take legal action against AI and others for failing to comply with planning conditions, some dating back "more than 10 years":
Councillor Bill Hunt said: "We have all had enough. Everyone should support officers to take legal action and do it today, not tomorrow. Prosecute if necessary and do it as soon as possible to get that area back on track."
